History Detectives - 3rd Session
Description:
9th July - 3rd Session
What can a tile tell us about life in medieval London? What can an old photograph tell us about family history? How old is the postbox in your street?
History Detectives find clues through activities and by investigating evidence from genuine historical artefacts.
We shall be looking at a cannonball from a famous battlefield, jewellery from Ancient Egypt, old coins, and an extraordinary fossil.
We will investigate the stories behind old maps and paintings, write letters like the Georgians, and make cartoons like the early animators. History is all around us -- if you know where to look. Through these sessions, History Detectives will know how to spot the clues.
