The Shape of Speed?
The majestic peregrine falcon swoops down to attack its prey, the sailfish cuts through the blue ocean, a cheetah chasing down a springbok, a space shuttle leaving earth, Lewis Hamilton thundering down to the finish line ....and don't forget Hussain Bolt. What do all these have in common - SPEEEEEED!!!! The fastest in their field. What is the shape of speed? How do we measure speed? Look at nature, what shape does it take...can you see it? Come on then, design the shape of speed!!!
A class which deepens your understanding of maths and how impacts your everyday life. Take your understanding to a new level - the future. How will knowledge of the speed of light change our world. This is big maths and science, the stuff of quantum physics and speed of light. Then we start to see just how space travel and the universe shares our everyday world of maths.
