Acting Skills and Audition Techniques
Want to develop more confidence as a performer and create performances which have impact? Today you will learn how to create convincing and believable characters using a range of acting techniques as well as learn how to explore monologues and duologues as a performer. You will explore how to interpret texts as an actor and how to prepare thoroughly for an audition.
This Masterclass is particularly useful for students studying Drama at GCSE level. It will also help all students studying English Literature to explore play texts practically. It will also enable you to develop confidence in speaking and performing in front of an audience.

Bio: Lucy’s experience within education spans nearly two decades. Her interest in combining drama and education began at Manchester University when she worked with school students and also worked as an assistant director with Manchester Youth Theatre for several years. After a PGCE course in Secondary Drama she completed a Masters in Physical theatre and Performance at the Royal Holloway University. She has performed as a singer and actress in the west end and spent a year in Spain with a touring theatre company. She has spent the last five years, working in two of London’s most outstanding schools in east London, as a middle leader. She now works in the independent sector and is interested in developing strategies for oracy within the curriculum.
