HERO OR ZERO THE SCIENCE OF SURVIVAL
Description:
Shipwrecked on a tiny island - Could you survive? All you have is the clothes on your back and a few things hastily snatched from your sinking ship or crashed plane. What if you were lost in a desert or the Australian outback? What could you eat? Could you find water and collect it? How would you know it is drinkable? Could you build a shelter? Signal for help? Navigate your way home?
This masterclass, Survival Science, might save your life one day!
We look at the case study of the British backpacker who got "lost" in Australia last year and we investigate the tools and techniques we need if we are to avoid the same happening to us (or to deal with it if it did) We look at the science behind structure building, navigation, water purification, and finally raft building to enable our escape.
Tomorrows Achievers workshops are always fun-packed learning days as we bring Science to Life.
